William Thornley co-signa avec Edgar Degas (1834-1917) la réalisation d’un album de 15 lithographies sur le monde de la danse, dont le premier fut publié en 1888 (édité chez Boussod & Valadon et imprimé chez Becquet).
Cette première édition fut suivie d’un deuxième tirage en 1914 (Chez Vollard).
L’un de ces recueils a été vendu 24780€ en 2018, un autre 30000€ en 2022.
William Thornley co-signed with Edgar Degas (1834-1917) the creation of an album of 15 lithographs on the world of dance, the first of which was published in 1888 (published by Boussod & Valadon and printed by Becquet).
This first edition was followed by a second printing in 1914 (Chez Vollard). One of these collections was sold for €24,780 in 2018, another for €30,000 in 2022.
