William Thornley eut aussi d’autres clients célèbres, dont le Président Fallières (1841-1931) et le baron Edmond de Rothschild (1845-1934).
As the January 15, 1920 edition of the Echo Pontoisien attests, the former king of Italy Victor Emmanuel III (1869-1947) acquired, for his private collection, one of the most beautiful paintings of the master William Thornley: Santa Maria della Salute (Venice), morning effect.
