Entre 1880 et 1900. William Thornley réalisa de nombreux voyages en Hollande. Certains ont été effectués avant 1900, (1884, 1886, 1897 et 1898), d’autres après 1900, par exemple en 1920. Compte tenu du fait que William Thornley arrêta son activité de lithographe, au plus tard après 1918 (date du dernier tirage des œuvres de Degas), cette lithographie est antérieure à 1918. Compte tenu du format de la signature, il est probable qu’elle ait été réalisée entre 1880 et 1900.

Between 1880 and 1900, William Thornley made numerous trips to Holland. Some were carried out before 1900 (1884, 1886, 1897 and 1898), others after 1900, for example in 1920. Taking into account the fact that William Thornley stopped his activity as a lithographer, at the latest after 1918 (date of the last print of the works of Degas), this lithograph is before 1918. Given the format of the signature, it is likely that it was produced between 1880 and 1900.
