Cette troisième lithographie du second recueil des 25 lithographies de William Thornley d’après François Boucher publié en 1881, représente une jeune fille d’après Antoine Watteau (1684-1721). William Thornley a repris pour cette lithographie, le portrait que le graveur Wallon liégeois, Gilles Demarteau (1722-1776) avait réalisé avant lui à partir du modèle fourni par Watteau.
