William Thornley a réalisé cette lithographie d’après un tableau de Camille Pissarro fait en 1898 (Les ponts Boieldieu et Corneille à Rouen) Les dimensions de cette huile sur toile sont de 65x81cm. Elle est référencée à la page 765 sous le n° 1224 dans le vol 3 du catalogue raisonné du Wildenstein Institute -Joachim Pissarro et Claire Durand-Ruel Snollaerts.
Georges Manzana-Pissarro hérite de la toile à la mort de son père, Camille Pissarro. Après avoir été acquise, suite à un échange, par le Galeriste Georges Petit (1856-1920), la toile est vendue une première fois en France en 1924 avant de rejoindre ensuite le marché londonien (vente chez Christie’s en 1968 puis en 1982). A l’issue de cette dernière vente, la toile devient la propriété d’un collectionneur d’Art milanais.

William Thornley made this lithograph after a painting by Camille Pissarro made in1898 (The Boieldieu and Corneille bridges in Rouen) The dimensions of this oil on canvas are 65x81cm. It is referenced on page 765 under number 1224 in volume 3 of the catalogue raisonné of the Wildenstein Institute -Joachim Pissarro and Claire Durand-Ruel Snollaerts. Georges Manzana-Pissarro inherited the painting upon the death of his father, Camille Pissarro. After being acquired, following an exchange, by the gallery owner Georges Petit (1856-1920), the painting was sold for the first time in France in 1924 before joining the London market (sale at Christie’s in 1968 and then in 1982). Following this last sale, the painting became the property of a Milanese art collector.
